The class consists of three weekly 90-minute online sessions conducted via Zoom.
All sessions will be recorded and available for viewing by paid registrants for thirty days
following the last session, through May 15, 2024.

Karin Lovisa Borgerson is a professional genealogist specializing in genetic genealogy, using a combination of DNA data and historical records to help guide curious people on a journey of self-discovery where science meets story.
Her education includes a BA in biology and anthropology from Oberlin College; an MBA in socially and environmentally sustainable business from Bainbridge Graduate Institute; graduate study in science, health and environmental journalism at NYU; coursework in computer science and genome sciences at University of Washington; and multiple genealogy institutes, including studying advanced genetic genealogy with Blaine Bettinger and Cece Moore and advanced genealogical methods with Tom Jones.
Her professional experience includes more than three years in the Division of Medical Genetics at the University of Washington helping to create the first training program for genetic counselors in the state, biomedical research at the University of Michigan, and roles in multiple software start-ups. She served as Director of Education for the Seattle Genealogical Society in 2017-2018.
